PALERMO – MONREALE – CEFALU’
The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Cathedral of Monreale, made unique by the beautiful frescoes that adorn the interior. We continue to Palermo, with the visit of the historic centre’s most important monuments: Piazza dei 4 canti, Piazza Pretoria, La Martorana, the Cathedral, Palazzo dei Normanni, Politeama Theatre and Massimo Theatre, old Capo market. Next stop will be in Cefalù, beautiful seaside village at the base of a mountain of white rock on top of which the beautiful Cathedral dominates. Here you can stroll through the narrow streets of the village and discover the most charming corners, colors, smells and flavours that characterize this place. You will also have the chance to enjoy the beautiful sandy beach and swim in the crystal clear water
PIAZZA ARMERINA – VALLEY OF TEMPLES
The tour begins with the visit of “Villa Romana del Casale” in Piazza Armerina, where you can admire the beautiful mosaics of the Roman period. They are among the best preserved in the world and an example of beauty and artistry as an evidence of the good taste that characterized populations of that time. We continue with the visit of the Valley of Temples in Agrigento, one of the most beautiful places in the world, an archeological area of Sicily, characterized by a series of exceptionally preserved important Doric temples of the Hellenistic period. Akragas is the ancient name for Agrigento and it corresponds to the monumental original nucleus of the city. Today it is the regional archeological park.

BUSCEMI – PALAZZOLO A. – MARZAMEMI
A trip to an unknown Sicily… unknown to the majority of tourists, away from the usual tourist spot… a true Sicily to discover and enjoy!
Buscemi, the village itself is a Museum where houses and stores were restored and maintained exactly as they were a century ago. A place where you can take a step back in time to find out the lifestyle of that time!
Then we will visit the baroque town of Palazzolo Acreide with its beautiful small churches and baroque style palaces and also the interesting archeological area which made the town being placed on the list of UNESCO world heritage site. We end up with the visit of Marzamemi, a little fishermen’s village where you can see the old Tonnara (tuna trap) and the places where the old fishermen’s houses were adapted and transformed into bars and restaurants where it is possible to taste the true, authentic flavours of land and sea.
UNKNOWN SICILY
ENNA – MORGANTINA – CALTAGIRONE
The tour begins visiting the historic centre of Enna, the highest town in Italy with its more than 900 metres altitude. Walking through the streets of downtown, you can discover the beautiful churches, charming squares, private buildings and “Castello di Lombardia””with its wonderful view. We continue to Aidone with the visit of Morgantina’s archeological site where you will see the rests of the Ellenistic city, Agorà, Pritaneo, Ekklesiasterion, Greek Theatre and Macello Romano. We end up with the visit of Caltagirone, famous for its beautiful and unique pottery. After a walk in the fascinating town centre,we will visit a workshop where we will be shown the processing techniques of local pottery.
ETNA
Ascending the southern slope of the volcano, we will cross the lava flow of 1983 where we will stop to see up close its destructive effects. We wille continue up to an altitude of 2.000 meters, where you can easily visit the Silvestri Craters originated from the eruption of 1892 and, at guests’ discretion, go to higher altitudes (2.500 mt or 3.000 mt a.s.l.) by cable car (not included). On our way back, we will pass by Zafferana Etnea, where we stop at a Honey Farm to assist the procedures for production of organic honey and taste the varieties of honey and many other products like Extra Vergin Olive Oil, Wine, Liqueurs, Olives, Mushrooms, pesto, pates etc…produced by the company. We will also see the lava flow which, in 1992, threatened the village of Zafferana stopping its run not far from it. Then, back to the hotel. On request: Trekking through a natural path that leads to a viewpoint where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of “Valle del Bove”. Extra charge €15 p.p.

SIRACUSA & NOTO
The visit starts with the Neapolis archeological park, the most characteristic part of Syracuse, where you will see the Greek theatre, Latomie del Paradiso, Ear of Dionysius and the Roman amphitheatre. Next stop will be Ortigia with the ruins of the earliest Greek constructions. Among them, the most important one is the Cathedral of Syracuse which rises on the highest point of the small Island of Ortigia. A very important and famous spot of Ortigia is the Arethusa Fountain , situated on a wide terrace overlooking the sea and where the papyrus plants grow. We continue to Noto with the visit of the ancient baroque town centre, one of the most important in Sicily, with beautiful buildings and churches and the magnificent Cathedral.
INSPECTOR MONTALBANO TOUR
Tour of the area where the fiction “Inspector Montalbano” is set. First stop at “Castello di Donnafugata” which, in the fiction, is the local boss Don Balduccio Sinagra’s dwelling. We continue to Punta Secca (Marinella in the fiction) to visit, from outside, the House of Montalbano and nearby the sandy beach where he used to swim. We continue to Donnalucata, where the episode “the shape of water” is set. Afterwards, we reach the baroque village of Scicli. Short walk for visiting the beautiful baroue historical centre (Montelusa in the fiction), “Palazzo Comunale” (the City Hall) which is Vigata’s police station in the fiction, and “Palazzo Iacono”, the police headquarter. We continue to Modica, whose historical centre is also in Baroque style. The beautiful staircase of Saint George’s Cathedral was the protagonist of the episode “Tocco d’artista”. We end up with the visit of the beautiful Piazza Duomo of Ragusa Ibla, with its baroque Church of San Giorgio, which represents the main square of Vigata, the imaginary village of Montalbano.
ETNA & RIVIERA DEI CICLOPI

Then we go to discover the fascinating places along the coast where the volcano was born and also the fishing villages of Acicastello and Acitrezza, places of myths and legends like the ones of Ulysses and the Cyclop.
RAGUSA – MODICA – SCICLI
The tour begins in Ragusa Ibla with the visit of the historical centre in Baroque style where we will admire the wonderful Saint George’s Cathedral in Piazza Duomo. We continue to Modica, whose historical centre (Modica bassa), is also in Baroque style. The two Cathedrals, San Giorgio, which dominates the village from the top of the hill and San Pietro, located down along the main street, are both extraordinary exemples of the Sicilian Baroque. We will make a stop at the ancient chocolate shop Bonajuto to assist the explanation of the process to make the typical local chocolate, made according to an ancient recipe of the Aztecs brought to Sicily by Spaniards during their domination. Free tasting of chocolate is included! We will end up with the visit of the fascinating village of Scicli, where, once again, the main architectural style is Baroque.
GODFATHER TOUR
During this tour, we will admire the wonderful landscape and will walk through the peaceful streets and churches of Savoca and Forza D’Agrò, both used in the shooting of the movie “The Godfather” directed by F.F. Coppola with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. In Savoca, we will visit the “Bar Vitelli”, where Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) speaks to Apollonia’s father to ask for her hand and the Church of San Nicolò where the two got married. We can also visit the fascinating catacombs of the Cappuccini Convent and the Church S.Maria degli Angeli. We continue to Forza D’Agrò, a charming medieval village overlooking the coastline towards Messina: this is the place where Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) and his henchmen are walking through the streets of Corleone.
It is possible to add a visit to “Castello degli Schiavi”(the Slaves’ Castle), located in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, where several scenes of the film were shot, especially the one in which the young Apollonia, Michael Corleone’s wife, is killed by a bomb in the car.
